Doing business is a process of trial and error. It is therefore part of the natural course of events that companies disappear at some point and make room for new activities. However, what is often overlooked is the position of the entrepreneur as a person in that process, and more specifically the question of what his further professional options are. In this study, we examine how a bankrupt former entrepreneur continues his professional life after stopping his original company.

In the investigation report we first looked at the possible impact of a bankruptcy on the person of the former entrepreneur and how that could affect his further options. Furthermore, we focused specifically on the route in which a bankrupt party chooses to restart as an entrepreneur. More specifically, we investigated which possible factors play a role in that decision.

In addition to a literature review, questionnaires were collected online from bankrupts and the results were processed.
